I would like to take a few minutes during Security Officer Appreciation Week (September 21–27, 2025), to speak directly to the heart of Orion Protective Services – our security officers.
This year, Orion celebrates 15 years of service. That’s fifteen years of growth, challenges, and achievements. And while it is an important milestone, what truly matters to me is the team that has carried us here. It’s you, the security professionals who show up every day with competence and care. That’s what makes Orion who we are.
Dedication Beyond the Uniform
Security, at its best, isn’t just about showing up on time and in uniform. It’s about understanding, preparing, and partnering with the people we protect and serve. Every decision you make, every situation you handle, calmly and with integrity and attention – reflects your dedication to doing this important work the right way.
I know this job isn’t easy. The hours can be long, and the weight of responsibility can be heavy at times. You’re often the first line of defense, and you carry the knowledge that others are depending on you to keep them safe. That’s a lot to ask of anyone—but time and again, you rise to the challenge. You give people peace of mind, often without them ever realizing the care and preparation behind it. And I want you to know – it doesn’t go unnoticed.
This week is about you. Please take a moment to recognize your own hard work and the difference you make every day. Your dedication matters. It makes a real impact. It’s what makes Orion who we are.
